BBC WORLDWIDE | PRESCHOOL WRITER & SUB EDITOR

Writer for a range of licensed preschool BBC titles including Something Special, Bob the Builder, Octonauts, Charlie and Lola and In the Night Garden. This role included laying out, writing and subbing pages in InDesign. I was part of the team that developed and launched successful titles Something Special (ABC circulation Jan-June 2012 - 61,340) and Octonauts (ABC circulation Jan-June 2012 - 58,409). I also worked on successful pitches for Alphablocks and Octonauts. In 2011 I created and ran a successful Twitter account for Something Special magazine, utilising social listening and crowdsourcing tools. I developed strong relationships with key talent, including producers, presenters, freelancers and illustrators. I oversaw and tracked team expenditure, developing new admin systems to streamline process.
